Meet Jeffrey Smith of First Impressions Theme Theatres

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffrey Smith.

Jeffrey, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
FITT was founded in 1975. We are the oldest and perhaps best known private cinema development and manufacturing business in the country working nationwide and abroad. FITT is a registered Architectural firm designing and engineering high end home cinema interiors and theme based entertainment environments for the who’s who in business, commerce, sports and entertainment installing elaborate projects vertical solution commissions from Greenwich to Ghana.

Has it been a smooth road?
Client indecision or availability for decision making can be devastating to a project’s timely delivery. When we are interviewed for a major undertaking we too interview the client to confirm we have an accord on rapid feedback communication to that which is presented along the development process, and if it appears that will not be the case, we inform the client the job is not for our company. We are best utilized by business-minded entrepreneurs who understand the value of time and its impact on profitability. We move a lot of theater projects through our doors annually and we want to service people in a manner one would expect to receive with an expensive luxury products purchase which can happen so long as we all are on the same page on the working relationship. Otherwise, the journey we all undertake as a team effort to include the client will not be a smooth road and who wants to drive down a rocky road?

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are most noted and most proud of the accolades we receive in delivering the vision we present graphically on paper and through 3D animation that once installed looks identical to the presentation tools used to present this project. Moreover, we are always on budget and on time which today sets us apart from any company who professes to do what we do and usually for claimed less money. We are also the only licensed architectural business in the nation specializing in our art form.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Absolutely! We have one of the most diverse and wealthy populations in the country. Miami has fantastic weather year round and plenty of tourists to add to the already international mix. There are marketing and advertising options galore as well as various networking functions to attend or host to get your name out there and your brand or product recognized.

I have known Jeff for over fifty years and he has always had a remarkable talent in everything he has done. He has also been a good friend and even though we don’t see each other for years it always feels like it was days. Jeff is a great guy and the best at whatever he does.
