Today we’d like to introduce you to Elodie Messika.
Elodie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
French, mother of three girls, a big dreamer and a Happy Spray Tan Artist! I always have tried to realize my dreams even if the solutions to reach them were to choose difficulties and I always evolved in an artistic and festive environment. In order to master a rigorous side, I took courses in Management and Finance in Business School in Paris where I obtained a degree in Financial Management Manager and a Master of Management and Luxury Marketing. I confess I did not enjoy my studies (except student parties): it allowed me to secure my future for my parents! I always have kept this passion for art through singing and photography. I participated especially in shows and I performed in theaters and clubs in Paris, then I sang in groups for weddings, I participated in Star Academy for French TV, I play guitar, compose and write my own songs. Specializing in the world of business, I had a great job but too boring for me: I was a financial advisor and IT consultant for International banks. The last few years have been very painful because of my mother’s illness and death. We have faced the difficulties that unfortunately many live. It taught me a lot about myself and about happiness, well being, love for others. I subsequently graduated as a massage practitioner in Paris as if I wanted to repair bodies… I finally realized a big dream: come to live and work in the USA !! the path is long and difficult but I work hard every day to lead this mission!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Such a total change of life! Change of language, school for my children, culture, season! We had to adapt for everything. I am very positive and I think this is only a state of mind: if you think things are hard to achieve then they will be!
To Make your place in work, make yourself known and be appreciated for its efficiency and professionalism, it’s long and you have to be patient. Every day is a challenge. Being positive is giving the possibility of easier work!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Jolie Tan Star – what should we know?
JolieTan Star is born thanks to my work with models, great photographers and bodybuilders for competitions as SprayTan Artist. I learned the best techniques of spray tan and I work in collaboration with the best suppliers of Spray lotions. My clients are men or women who want to be tanned. What does that mean? They want to feel good in their body! Here is how I found how to “repair bodies” and give an artistic sense to my life! People feel thinner, healthier, more beautiful and especially ready for their wedding, their cruise, their photo shoot, their competition … some customers have named me “The French Spray Tan Artist of Florida! ” I keep myself informed of new products as well as Spray techniques. I’m always on the lookout for the best for my clients! I am passionate about people: it is imperative that they feel better when they have had a Spraytan!
What are your plans for the future?
Currently, I’m working on my own style with a new spray technique and upcoming creations! I also develop the marketing of “homemade” oils that are 100% natural and that moisturize the skin after a spray tan! My customers love, they call these oils “real wonders”! I wish to continue working with models and bodybuilders, expand my clientele and make people always happy!
