Meet Elizabeth Sanchez of Boss Babe Cupcakes and Boss Women Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Sanchez.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Elizabeth. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have been involved in the Entertainment Industry since the age of seven. I have done everything from being in commercials for United Way to even making it on the front cover of a magazine for the city of Hollywood. That was just a start for me, my parents always knew I was not only going to dive into the world of modeling but just the fact that I was born a creative in general.

Growing up I was also apart of the drama club and while in high school I took it more serious and got selected to be in the theatre magnet with dreams of becoming an actress or directing films. After high school, I realized I did not want to pursue theatre anymore but I still loved the world of entertainment. Fast forward a few years later, I participated in multiple fashion shows, did many photoshoots and then I was presented with the opportunity to direct a fashion show for Mia Jamfest HipHop Music and Fashion Festival.

I knew this was going to be the first time I really put my bachelor’s degree to use. I graduated from Florida Memorial University with a bachelors in Communications and Public Relations. However, upon graduation I got a job at Wells Fargo as a lead teller and lasted there two years. In the meantime though, I was still so excited at that opportunity and I successfully ran the fashion show for two years straight having to cast the models, cast the designers, run the rehearsals and making sure every other aspect of the fashion show ran accordingly.

After my experience with Jamfest, I developed a love for freelance modeling agency type of work and that’s when I started my own project called Boss Women Productions where I would work with upcoming and established models to find them paid gigs in music videos, photo shoots, short films, commercials, and fashion shows.

To make it all better, my fiance Grizzly Films who happens to be one of Miami’s renowned photographers and cinematographers has also been a part of this dream with me for the last five years we have been together. We work so well together. In the midst of all this, while I was pregnant two years ago I also discovered my passion and talent for baking and I also started another business called Boss Babe Cupcakes.

This one is more of a hobby for me now while I would like to focus all my efforts on further developing and taking Boss Women Productions to the next level. My dream was to always be a runway supermodel like Naomi Campbell or a Victoria Secret Angel but my height (5’0) always hindered me in that industry so maybe that’s why my dream has always been to own a modeling agency as well and still be involved in that world. On the side, I also do creative directing for most of my fiances projects.

I am now a 3rd-grade reading teacher as well and graduating with my master’s degree in Educational Leadership in July 2019 from NorthCentral University because I also have a passion for Education and will eventually pursue administration with my 2nd degree. I have a beautiful two-year-old daughter named Asia and I am also planning my wedding which is coming up in June. I have many more projects lined up for the future but this sums it up for now!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I can honestly say I haven’t had major struggles but I would say that’s due to something I take a lot of pride in and that’s being disciplined and being organized. I’m known for not procrastinating and getting things done.

When I put my mind to something, that’s all I see in front of me. Yes, there will be struggles, but I believe one can minimize their challenges and obstacles by being proactive and having a plan in order if an obstacle does present itself.

Boss Babe Cupcakes and Boss Women Productions – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I can honestly say what I am mostly known for is that person who always has a “contact.”

I have built many relationships over the years and being in the entertainment industry I have met an abundance of creatives from makeup artists, to hairstylists to designers and producers.

Someone is always calling me or texting me… hey, I’m looking for a really skilled photographer or makeup artist, who can you recommend? I’m always there to help. I also specialize in planning events, creative directing and helping models find gigs.

What sets me apart from others is the fact that I can hold a conversation with anyone. I believe I’m approachable, professional and outgoing.

We always love to ask about the support network – have there been people, perhaps mentors or advisors, who have played a big role in your success?
First of all my mother deserves 90% of the credit because I believe people are who they are mostly because of how they were raised and how they handled the exposures of their environments.

My mom always kept me on track, she was always a friend first. She is also an educator. I would say also my fiance Osiris (Grizzly_Films) has been a huge supporter of all my endeavors from Day 1 and he is always stressing to take the risk because the reward is always much greater.
