Meet Dominick and Dominique Casale of Diamonds and Doggies

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominick and Dominique Casale.

Dominick and Dominique, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have been a jeweler since 1981 from NY who retired here with my family on 9/11. We found a puppy store we partnered with in South Beach, Miami with my daughter and partner Dominique 10 years ago. We love animals and added the jewelry aspect and then created the name there and moved to Lauderdale by the sea in 2011. It’s now a tourist attraction here at the beach with 200-300 people per day walking through. Taking home there new pets, pet accessories, and people jewelry and bags!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never a smooth road when you own a business. There have been bumps in the road but we handled them as a family and moved on to bigger and better things. And then the hurricanes on the beach were a little obstacle.

Please tell us about Diamonds and Doggies.
We are the ONLY STORE OF ITS KIND! I am a GIA certified Graduating jeweler and my daughter Dominique is a vet tech and loving Boss with the animals. We treat our pups as our own! We have 3 of our own pups as well! Bentley, PORSHA, AND MIA. We have been noted for having the cleanest and nicest store on the beach! 4 start with the AKC and board of health! NO PUPPY MILLS, all licensed USDA small family breeders.

We set apart because we make everyone that walks in happy, they play with the pups in our 3 play areas for hours then acclimating all our pups to family people at a young age.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My memory from childhood is catching my first shark with my Uncle Tommy Casale in Florida when I was 9 yrs. old.

I was at the Oakley store with my boyfriend and I had seen everyone with ice cream and I said I want to check out that ice cream place across the street and my boyfriend said ok I’ll meet you over there! I turn around to head over there and as I look to my right I see this precious baby! My eyes lit up and I ran back to my boyfriend and I said come here I have to show you something!!!! He came over and I said o my gosh I have to have this dog! It was love at first sight!!! So my boyfriend said I don’t care what I have to do I’m going to make sure you go home with him! Dominick was a very nice gentlemen and helped us out with everything! I couldn’t have asked for somebody as nice as he was and very polite ! It has been one of the best experiences I have ever had having an English bulldog! I love our baby boy so much! He is now 10 months and the last time he was at the doctor he was 56 pounds! 😍😍😍
