Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Cramblett.
Cynthia Cramblett is a dynamic travel expert, entrepreneur, health and adventure addict who thrives off meeting and sharing the stories of fascinating women. Ms. Cramblett is the founder of Bachelorette Party Miami, Puerto Rico & Cuba; writes and creates travel content via her blog Postcards To Me, hosts a female-focused podcast titled Her Drive and is a co-host of a TV Travel show set to air in 2019.
However, she was not always this colorful entrepreneurial adventures. Being a small town girl from Ohio, Cynthia was not exposed to big cities or international travel, so she played it safe for a number of years working as a Lobbyist in Washington, DC before deciding to take a leap into the tourism space where she worked as a Travel Director. In less than five years she has traveled to almost 40 countries where she found her voice and began sharing her love for travel with followers on her blog PostcardsToMe.com.
On her blog and youtube channel, she shares destination tips and recounts memories like what it is like to sleep in Petra with Bedouins, road trip across Europe solo, eat bugs in Thailand and spearfish in the Bahamas. During her travels, she came across many groups of ladies who needed trip planning for their bachelorette parties and began working on a new concept in group travel. After a two year flirtation with Miami and the idea, Cynthia established residency in South Beach along with the creation of Bachelorette Party Miami.
It is through being a small business owner that Cynthia has found a sisterhood with women around the world who are working hard towards bringing their goals to life whilst. Cynthia’s bachelorette business’s core value is to simplify and sweeten the Bachelorette Party Planning process for ladies traveling to paradise from out of town. She continues to learn more about Miami and is passionate about continuing to explore the magic of Miami with her clients and followers on all channels.
Has it been a smooth road?
Creating a business is very much like a romantic relationship, it starts out dreamy, hot and very exciting! As a creator of multiple brands, I have experienced the glittery eyes and hopeful, dreamy heart-filling emotions associated with newness only to be smacked back to reality with the many challenges that predictably pop up.
My first challenge was first figuring out how to communicate the mission of Bachelorette Party Miami, Puerto Rico & Cuba to groups planning a trip to these beautiful destinations. Even two years after it’s creation, we are still evolving our language and services to meet the needs of our groups. I have learned that growth is never ending and you must always “embrace the pivot.” But, like any strong relationship, commitment to the purpose of the brand is what keeps the company growing stronger and better each day.
My second greatest challenge was that I didn’t feel supported by people who understood the obstacles associated with creating a new company and concept in the travel space. I have solved this obstacle by seeking young female entrepreneurs who work in the same industry as me to share, collaborate and support through all of our ups and downs. We have accountability meetings each week to share our goals, achievements, challenges and hold each other to what we say we are going to do.
Lastly, my greatest challenge has been stepping back and observing how far the brand has grown in its a short time of existence and celebrate all the milestones made! Having a strong support system has helped point out this need to celebrate more often!
Celebrating helps me maintain a positive mindset and keep my “itty bitty shit talking committee” at bay!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Bachelorette Party Miami story. Tell us more about the business.
Bachelorette Party Miami is a one-stop planning service for all Bachelorette and Bachelor groups traveling to Miami Beach to celebrate. We create custom event itineraries for our parties, offer room decorating and creative out of the box experiences!
I am most proud of the number of group’s who have been able to book our services and have a stress-free planning process and party experience and the partnerships we have established with local talented, honorable business owners and service providers.
We are unique in Miami Beach for party planning because we are not promoters but professional event coordinators who custom tailor each experience for the groups traveling to Miami.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the custom trip planning industry for niche groups growing and Miami as a destination that groups will continue to want to celebrate it.
The major shift is going to come in how the groups go about booking their experiences and how the suppliers must show their trustworthiness.
