Meet Staci Lee Schnell of Counseling and Wellness Center in Cooper City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Staci Lee Schnell.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, after taking some time off to be a stay at home mom I decided to go into Private Practice. I began getting phone calls for things I didn’t feel were my specialties and always felt bad not taking the case, I began to find other therapists to refer to, that’s when I came up with the idea for the Counseling and Wellness Center of South Florida (CWCSF). If I had a place with many different therapists with different specialties I could help all those that called me. I started CWCSF 3 years ago and today I have 18 therapists besides myself.

Has it been a smooth road?
It took me a few months to really hone in on finding therapists that saw my vision, after that it was easy.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Counseling and Wellness Center of South Florida – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
The Counseling and Wellness Center of South Florida is a group of 19 therapists that have an array of specialties. We provide individual counseling for all ages, couples counseling, family therapy, and group therapy. Some specializes include: anxiety, depression, postpartum, OCD, affair recovery, bullying, trauma, addictions, ADHD, and autism. Therapy can be provided in English, Spanish, Hebrew or German.

I personally specialize in working with couples that want to stay together, affair recovery and adults dealing with ADHD, Anxiety or Postpartum. We are so proud to touch and help our community.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I was born and raised in North Miami. I’ve lived in Los Angles and Seattle, but Miami has always been and will always be my home. I love that Miami is a melting pot of race, religion and cultures. I love our weather, especially after living in Seattle.

I love the Dolphins, Heat, Panthers and even the Marlins! Sorry not a hurricane fan — went to FSU — go Noles!

The thing I like the least about Miami is the traffic.
