Meet Christina Francois of Best Girls Store in Palm Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Francois.

Christina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hi, My name is Christina @blvkrose_ fashion on Instagram, I started a fashion blog in 2016 as a creative outlet to share my personal style. And I was the vice president of a fashion club in high school. Fashion was the only way I expressed myself. even coming from a low-income household I mixed and matched the same clothes in different ways without breaking the bank. in 2018 I launched my first online store because I saw a lack of diversity on Instagram when it came to models and influencers. I opened my first accessories brand now called BEST GIRL STORE. Our mission is to inspire and empower girl bosses and dreamers through fashion.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Running an online business has not been easy there is always something new to learn and everything changes by the minute. One of my main struggle was content and increasing my brand awareness. but overtime I learned how to better my brand experience.

Please tell us about your business.
By day, I am a college student majoring in business at Florida Atlantic University and a part-time front desk agent. a lot of my customer service skills comes from my experience at work which has been useful in my business. As a brand, we are proud of making our customers feel confident with our products. But we also empower our women entrepreneurs and creatives through our brand message and quotes we post on via Instagram and our newsletter so they leave feeling inspired throughout the week.

How would you describe your personal style? And how was that influenced your brand?
My style has stayed consistent over the years. I like to describe my style as chic and minimal. I wear a lot of black, nudes and recently this year I’ve been into light salmon pink. I’m not so much into trends unless it can be mixed and matched for everyday look. I love a nice tailored blazer, a good quality denim and accessories This has influenced my brand because I think having a few essentials in your wardrobe can keep you stylish year-round and accessories are a great way to spice up your outfit.

What can we expect from your brand in coming months?
We have a lot of great things coming! we are expanding are line to more jewelry options that speaks to empowering women. We are firm believers in affirmations so we are combining that aspect with our new collection. Our goal is to give fashion purpose. In the world of fast fashion companies are losing the sight of why people wear clothes or have certain style that speaks to who they are. And now, we have this whole movement of women empowerment and building wealth in minorities communities and fast brands aren’t bringing up these conversations. fashion can have more substance.
