Meet Chloe Dubois of Delray Beach Cryo in Palm Beach County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Dubois.

Chloe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Both of my parents are French. I was born and raised in the USA. I am currently a student attending Bishop O’Connell in Virginia. For both of my parents, sports and food are a passion. Being French, “cela va de soit”!
My parents started to complain about the lack of help when it comes to pain, inflammation and lactic acid builds up when exercising. They have noticed the number of pills people take to get help in alleviating pain. My parents are all for “natural” and dietary ingredients. So, during my numerous stays in France for the summer, I was brought to places called Thalassotherapy where people will get a mud bath, recovery sessions, salt treatment from the sea and Cryotherapy which is booming in France and has been for the past 30 years all over Europe and Japan. Upon my return to the US, I decided to do cross country after school and one day I twisted my ankle, I came home and my dad took me right away to a Cryotherapy center nearby, the next day I was back at running. Since that time, I decided to help other people to get better and perform better without pain. Why in Delray? My parents have a beach house in Florida and I love Delray Beach, the palm trees, the beach, the historic town, the train passing by the city and the people… they all are either fitness trainers or asset managers so I asked my parents if I could open a Cryo there. I used my money from my art (you can even see some of it in the spa) and bought the best cryosauna machine on the market today, the Juka. Since then, I tried to develop some other products that coincide with my vision of the 4 elements (Water, Air, Fire and Earth). Come and visit!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It was not a smooth road but I had the chance to have my dad recommending me a Cryo-entrepreneur who had put 2 centers in the past up north in DC. The most difficult thing to do was to find the location with decent rent in Delray Beach in order to provide decent pricing. The Liquid Nitrogen was also a struggle to find. Lastly, I was able to find a specialist that could manage the place for me. We would spend endless hours on Facetime… I am 3 months down the road and my main task is to educate people about Cryo and its numerous benefits that comes with it and NO SIDE EFFECTS!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Delray Beach Cryo – what should we know?
Our specialty is the Whole Body Cryotherapy. It is a machine that looks like a cylinder, Your body is placed in the machine but only your head is out. Liquid nitrogen is then sent and circulate around your body cooling it at -256F. Because it is a gas, it does not feel as cold and it is not burning your skin like an ice cube bath would do after training. This is the next generation of ice cube bath. Many professional athletes and celebrities are experiencing it. Some colleges are also building a cryotherapy on site for their future athletes. Since I am interested in balancing my life, I had to find a concept around the Fountain of youth via the 4 elements. I decided to add an infrared machine, compression boots and Cryo Visage. One of the main benefits of Cryo is the release of collagen in your body and face. Compression boots are great after a Cryo session. Lastly, I have a cryo machine that does Spot treatments for people that are nervous about going into the Cryosauna at first. Finally, we are also selling some organic and hypoallergenic creams from France. One is based on snail residual and the other from coffee beans. After its application, the smell of coffee on your body is unreal and stays for the whole day. This is the 4 element concept. We have also other services in the pipeline and I have been approached by a lot of people but my main focus right now is CRYO!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My parents… my mum for being a renown aesthetician for the past 30 years in France and the US and my dad for its international upbringing (Africa, Europe and America). He has so much passion for culture and sports. He has been a great mentor for this business.
