Chesco, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Spain and I came to Miami 6 years ago. I have spent my career helping my clients fulfill their dreams by creating new brands for their companies (www.panamera.co), from startups to those just needing a revamp.
Branding is my passion and I have always dreamed of having my own brand. I loved the fashion world and sports, so I decided to create my own product linked to another of my passions: the sea and enjoy sailing.
So was this the inspiration from Biscayners, and was born just 1 year ago.
We launched a collection of unique handmade wooden sunglasses with polarized lenses. Inspired by my small hometown, Murcia, Spain, where my father showed me his love for the ocean, and my new home Key Biscayne in Miami.
Has it been a smooth road?
There have been many obstacles, would separate it into two types of challenges:
Manufacture:
Understand the process of manufacturing take too much time, logistics, design, manufacture of displays, etc … That has cost me a lot of time and still continues to do!
Sell and Sell
Myself had to design all our website, add all the products, web design, etc… . But the important thing is not that. You can make a great website, but how do you make thousands of people go to your store? That’s the big challenge!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Biscayners Sunglasses – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.

Designed in Key Biscayne, Miami, Biscayners. Our Sunglasses delivers a truly nautical style for diverse individuals all over the world.
All of our products are created with quality, style, and our environment in mind. You won’t find mass-produced eyewear here. Creating a beautiful product that reflects us and honors our wonderful world is more important than maximum profitability – not to mention sustainable. We dare to think that going back to basics is the awesome way to go!
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Many people ask me if I miss Spain and of course I say yes. But what I miss most are friends and family. Otherwise I always say that in Miami I am very happy, it is a fantastic city. There is always good weather (although you never know when it will rain). I love doing sports: soccer, cycling, swimming, running and of course windsurfing!
I love to compete for triathlons and marathons and there is no better place than Miami to be able to play any sport every day.
On the other hand, in Miami I have discovered all the mix of cultures and nationalities. I have learned a lot about culture and gastronomy, there is nothing in the world like Miami!
