Meet Catia Price of Catia Price Photography in Boca Raton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Catia Price.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Catia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my career 22 years ago in Advertising and always loved creative, fun, and busy jobs. After the birth of my first daughter, I bought my first DSLR camera and took my first class in photography. Back then, I already knew I wanted more and more of photography and could not just take pictures of my daughter. I started taking pictures of my friends’ kids, then their friends kids, and so on.

I explored wedding photography, newborn photography, boudoir photography and many different styles, but my heart has always been about photographing children. After a few years in the business, I decided to photograph my best friend’s birth and it was love at first sight. I absolutely fell in love with the beauty of documenting babies’ entrance into this world. The atmosphere, the rush, the rawness, everything made sense to me. That is how I discovered my true passion.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My learning process was not completely smooth but there were no struggles either. My biggest challenge happened after the birth of my second daughter. She never took the bottle and I had to breastfeed her for an entire year so I had to take a long break from photographing births.

Because of her feeding schedule, I could not commit to a four, five hours job, nor an unpredictable schedule. But it turned out to be a gift at the same time because I had to focus on short family sessions so I ended up falling in love with maternity photos. Pregnancy makes me so excited and happy for the families and what is about to happen.

Please tell us about Catia Price Photography.
I’m a birth, maternity, and family photographer. I’m very committed and professional and I’m proud that my clients can rely on me for their family memories. I go above and beyond to help my clients feel happy about their photos. I prepare for each session and I try to offer something unique and special for each family.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I grew up in Brazil in a small city and I used to play outside barefoot all day and come back home at the end of the day exhausted, with a blister on my feet, but extremely happy. I didn’t have a lot of money and toys, so I used to make toys using rocks, bricks, sticks, etc, and I remember having so much fun. Just the process of finding stuff to build what we wanted was already an adventure. I had a very simple but also very rich and fun childhood.
