Today we’d like to introduce you to Augusto Hernandez.
Augusto, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Loving food since I was a kid, I wasn’t the type of kid that didn’t like to eat. I’m from Maracaibo, Venezuela coming from a beautiful family, my dad was a great cook and he taught me and my sisters the art of cooking! Weekends were the best, me and my family always getting together for a barbecue or maybe for a special surprise my dad would prepare for us. Going out to eat is something I really enjoy! Exploring new restaurants and discovering great dishes is basically an adventure for me, love to live that gastronomic experience a place can give you so I can recommend to others and that’s how I started my page FOODANDULA a page where I’m your food guide full of laughter, great pictures of places I visit and also recipes.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, yes and I believe because I’m having fun doing this, food is something I really love and enjoy and the way I present everything through my page I enjoy the most!
Please tell us about FOODANDULA.
FOODANDULA is a combination of English and Spanish, food (comida) and “andula” comes from “Farandula” which is SHOW BUSINESS so basically this is the show business of food! Through my stories, you will be able to live the experience of visiting a restaurant and you will interact throughout the whole experience so that’s something I feel really proud of because I know people would love to visit the places I go to experiment the same.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Wow, what a question!! Honestly, my childhood was amazing everything I can think of brings a smile on my face but I remember when I got my first dog! It was the happiest day for me.
