Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Lopez.
Antonio, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got started by going into the Broward Real Estate Investors Association meeting and getting into their program. Through that program I was able to learn everything I needed to be successful in real estate.
It wasn’t easy as sometimes things got rough and no deals were coming through. I felt like quitting several times. I was sending offers on the MLS, sending mail, door knocking, and letting everyone know who I was and what I was up to.
It finally came together after almost a year of trying. I finally had my first deal and we grossed about $84k in profits. That’s when I knew this was going to be worth pursuing.
Ever since then I’ve partnered on several deals with the guys at BREIA. I grew my company to cover more area and even created a team of property acquisition specialist.
I’ve been on panels and have been on the radio. I have given advice and helped others succeed and learn about real estate.
Since then, the BREIA team asked me to become the director of their company. I’ve been working at the BREIA offices doing my own deals and still creating opportunities for the next great investor to show up.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There were several struggles along the way. From door knocking during one of the hottest summers ever to having homeowners flip on me because I was selling their house, it has not been easy at all.
I felt like quitting so many times. I’ve even cried out of frustration. Even though I almost went broke because of working and not getting results, it all paid off at the end. I had several deals come in at once and my life has never been the same financially.

Success for me is when I can take out my family to dinner or vacation and not have to worry about going broke. Success is having the small luxuries in life like a meal delivery service and always having gas money.
