Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Molina.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Cosmetology wasn’t always on my radar but somehow, I always found myself being the designated stylist for friends and family. My mom was attending cosmetology school, to obtain her esthetician license and was actually the person that mentioned that I should also look into attending the school. I decided to go for it and I haven’t looked back!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Truthfully, my journey has pretty great and rewarding. My career has taken me to some exciting events that have given me wonderful experiences. From film to runway, to photoshoots and more, I find myself working just as many hours outside of my salon as I do inside.
Please tell us about Angela Molina Professional Hair and Makeup .
While for may years, I was branding myself as your “everyday hairdresser,” I have found that over the last few years, I have rebranded my salon as an organic and herbal apothecary. I do still find that most of my clients are for wedding hair and makeup services. As for the salon services, I specialize in hair extensions and color services that are always ammonia free and organic.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I honestly don’t think I would have changed a thing! I have learned from every experience I’ve encountered. I think the my proudest achievement, so far, is that I was able to open my own studio space and have been in business for about six years now.
