Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre Moise.
Andre, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I was younger, I was always fascinated with the art of editing pictures and videos. I had a little point and shoot camera in middle school and took me and my friends MySpace photos with it. As well as learned a little editing in Windows movie maker.
Fast forward to 2018, one of my friends started his photography career and I saw the passion and I wanted to relieve those memories I had as a child. So I went and bought a camera and started fueling that passion daily. Now in 2020, I am still loving and enjoying the ride. I’m learning everyday, making new friends, and most importantly to me, I’m finding peace with this passion of mine. Seeing the smiles and joy on people’s faces really touches me and I want to keep spreading that peace and happiness as much as I can.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There were a few obstacles/challenges going in to and still kind of today what I face with. The main one for me is confidence in my work. I always second guess myself when it comes to me taking pictures or creating videos. I never think people will like my work. I’ll see other photographers/videographers showcase amazing content and see all the likes and comments flooding their pages. Then I’ll go on my page and think my work isn’t as good as theirs.
It was some days where I wanted to stop pursuing this passion of mine because my lack of confidence in myself. The two things that kept pushing me was my faith in God and know that he wouldn’t fail me. And the other was my supportive friend group. That kept the fire in my spirit to still push through even today. I am forever thankful for them.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I take photos and videos for the South Florida area. I more so think that I am a visual artist because I have learned to do both crafts and feel that every artist has their own way of creating beautiful pieces.
I am known for giving a natural feel to my work. I love when you can look at a photo or video and it makes you feel something positive just by seeing it. The main thing I am proud of as a company is a support. If it wasn’t for the support of family and friends, this wouldn’t be where it’s at today. What sets me apart from others is, I live by this phrase, “Protect Your Dream.” Basically for me, that just means, don’t let anyone stop you from chasing that dream you are after. Even if you have to do it alone, then you have to push even harder to get it. I push myself hard daily to get the result I have been praying for and I am going to keep giving it my all no matter what.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The main future plan I have is to continue to being a blessing to someone. Being the best visual artist that I can be. Being able to host more events and have more apparel is on the radar as well. Big changes will just be stepping up my quality and providing better services for future clients. One goal I hope to accomplish is to own my own studio within the next couple of years.
