Meet Allison Seriani of Organic Beauty & Wellness Festival in Boca Raton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Seriani.

Allison, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I first started working at the William Morris Endeavor Talent Agency in Miami Beach in 2006. I got my start in entertainment and working in the Latin music and commercial endorsements department. It was a great experience where I learned graphic design, event management and marketing/sponsorships for music tours and big events.

It came naturally to me and my entrepreneurial spirit was eager to grow, so I branched out and started my own PR firm representing hospitality, lifestyle and healthcare clients who wanted to build their brands, needed consulting and event planning.

I have always been passionate about living healthy and was an athlete for 15 years through dance, ballet, and competitive gymnastics. As I got older, I started to see my metabolism slow down and I was suffering from acne. I decided to focus on yoga to keep up with my fitness routine and threw out all the products with chemicals into the trash. I started paying attention to the labels on my cosmetics and now I use organic and animal cruelty-free products which are healthier and better all around.

I found a way to incorporate marketing and my event planning background into a passion project- the Organic Beauty & Wellness Festival. It took place October 28th, 2017 and we had over 1,000 attendees our first year, making it a big success. I am excited to grow this into new markets and help people make smarter and healthier purchasing decisions when it comes to their household products and food too.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it wasn’t smooth at all. I guess that’s sometimes how it is for entrepreneurs. We had to move our event due to Hurricane Irma which was originally scheduled for Sept 9th. But like any good event planner, they always have a backup plan. I worked with the Marriott in Boca Raton, which was a great venue and they helped us with a new date. It was stressful because the inconvenience made it hard for some vendors to participate on the new date, but everything worked out in the end.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Organic Beauty & Wellness Festival – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Prime specializes in marketing a brand which means we do everything from slogan concepts, design, finding the right message and developing the audience/consumer. This includes integrated campaigns, digital marketing and social media, advertising and media buying, event planning and public relations.

I am most proud of bringing people together for a special cause, whether it’s for a nonprofit and the goodwill of the community, or my festival, where people can learn from each other and pave the way for a healthier and sustainable lifestyle. Seeing this all come together gives me satisfaction.

Most PR firms don’t offer the full spectrum of marketing. I wear many hats where I bring to the table a design background, media relationships, detailed event planning and writing for social media and blogging. These days, it’s not about hiring a Publicist to get a mention in an article, it takes writing for SEO, digital strategy and grassroots efforts which I specialize in.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan on working smarter not harder. I don’t need to reinvent the wheel, I just need to make it better. My festival is a niche within the organic space. The beauty category is growing and more people are paying attention to what’s in their products and what they are really paying for. I plan on growing slowly so I can make sure to tie up loose ends and make each one seamless and easy to produce in new markets.
