Meet Alecia Peters

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alecia Peters.

Alecia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I would like to consider my story as her story. Simple because the challenges that I have dealt with many women have faced. The difference is how they handled it. Years back, I decided to leave a marriage that no longer served me well. As a single mother of two awesome children, I knew I had to do more. My children deserved more! I wanted to ensure that I created great opportunities and build generational wealth for me children. Not only that I moved out of my home and knew we needed somewhere new to call home. I knew I needed a home, but I did not want to get caught up in the cycle of renting and having to move each time my lease expired. I wanted to create consistency and a more stable situation for my children.

I began to research more into homeownership and drew meticulous interest in real estate. HGTV began to become my favorite station and I surrounded myself with real estate in every way possible. At the time, I worked a full-time job, and I went back to finish my degree at Florida Atlantic University. Each time I got a holiday break from school, I used it to attend real estate school and also to study for the real estate state exam. The second form of income was a plus to my newfound love of real estate. I always had a passion for people and empathized, especially with those who seek knowledge but just didn’t know where to get the knowledge from. As a realtor, I am her to provide the knowledge of homeownership and help break generational cycles.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing worth it comes easy so as transparent as possible, becoming a realtor was not all gilts and glam as it may be perceived by many. The beginning stages was rocky, and the road was a bit bumpy. I struggled to balance motherhood, a full-time job, finishing my degree at FAU (graduating this December) and learning all the things that real estate school did not teach me about being a realtor. Nevertheless, though I struggled, each time I was able to help a client successfully move, whether they were leasing or buying a property, it was fulfilling. Seeing their smiles and hearing the difference I have made and Just knowing that I was able to help make it all worth my wild.

Alright – so let’s talk business.  What else should we know about you and your career so far?
My business is Real Estate Her LLC. Real Estate Her set forth to encourage homeownership for self, wife, mom, or daughter. His real estate purchase not only benefits him but also benefits all the ladies in his life. It impacts all the ladies in his life equally. Whether it’s his wife, his daughter or his mother, with is purchase of real estate in the right direction of creating generational wealth. I am conducting all my real estate transactions under Jones Luxury Real-estate Group brokerage.

I specialize in South Florida’s competitive housing market, providing each of my clients with an excellent and memorable process into homeownership. I’m known for my outstanding communication and negotiation skills. I also acquire the knowledge necessary for my clients to experience a smooth purchasing, selling and leasing process. What makes me different and truly outstanding in comparison to other realtors is that I am generous with homeownership information and I treat all my clients equally no matter their budget. I do not turn any client’s way, whether is leasing or buying. Never underestimate a renter because they may one day become a buyer. I see this career choice as more than just the money but more as a great way to build positive relationships, educate my community and act on my passion for breaking the cycles.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
No, I wouldn’t do anything differently. I am a strong believer that there is beauty in the struggle! I understand that everything happens for a reason and without those reasons, the story outcome may have been different. God has been and always will remain in control of my story.
