Exploring Life & Business with Stephanie Long of Wicked Cat Clothing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Long.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
With a background in marketing and web design, it has been great that I don’t have to outsource my marketing or web design. My Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are in Communication, and I have been in marketing for over ten years, however, designing a clothing line has always been a passion and dream of mine. During Covid, I decided to act on this dream of creating a clothing line.

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, and I wanted to create a spooky-themed clothing line that people can wear 365 days a year – not just for a month. I have always worn graphic tee shirts, however, more often than not I haven’t been able to find designs that I wanted to wear. With Halloween being my favorite holiday, most Halloween themed clothing is only available around the time of October, and I think it should be available year-round. So, combined with my love for cats, Halloween, horror movies and the paranormal, Wicked Cat Clothing was born.

It has been a year since I founded Wicked Cat Clothing. The journey definitely hasn’t been easy. One of the biggest challenges that I’ve faced was just launching my website knowing that there were small imperfections, but I had to realize that no one would notice but me. It’s like exposing yourself to the world, in a way. I am still working on my website daily, doing big or little updates, revisions, additions, fixing any errors, etc.

As cliched as this sounds, whenever I get down, I remind myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

My HUGE dream is to create a Horror themed MET Gala. Currently, I’m working on a special collaboration with Neil D’Monte’s company, Hellbilly. It will be a couture line with distressed hoodies, graphic tee shirts, bathing suits, and more!

As you know, we’re big fans of Wicked Cat Clothing. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m a one woman owned business and started Wicked Cat Clothing during Covid. I have built my own website, set up my own marketing, run all the social media and email marketing. When you message any of my channels or through my website, you are getting me which I think is really important for customer service.

I love networking and have established myself in the horror and paranormal communities. I make custom ghost hunting team tee shirts and hope to be the Nike of the Ghost Hunting industry.

My clothing only comes in black and that will never change; it’s my favorite color and I think fits with my brand. Each illustration is unique to my business. I give an idea to my illustrator and she brings my vision to life.

I am offering your readers 30% off their entire purchase with code VOYAGEMIA30

What does success mean to you?
Never stop until you’ve reached your ultimate goal/dream. Too many people don’t follow-through with their idea, but the ones that do follow-through always succeed one way or another, whether it be personal or professional.
