We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I had many challenges, being away from my family, living in another country with another language and customs, knocking on doors and many did not open and a very difficult time in my life, the death of my mother, it was very hard because she was my support and my motivation, but I have always been a woman with discipline, conviction, and faith. I am very spiritual and that has helped me to continue fighting to fulfill my dreams.
I never give up and work hard to achieve my goals in the country of opportunity. Never stop dreaming and prepare for when the opportunity comes.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a TV host, journalist, producer with fifteen years of experience and businesswoman in the world of fashion and beauty, I am characterized for being an entrepreneur and creating my own goals, that is how I created the Fashion Impact Institute with an excellent team and Fashion Impact Foundation, because I like to help others so that they can also fulfill their dreams and work on what they are passionate about. I think that my biggest quality and what differentiates me is that I am multifaceted, I can one day be doing an interview with an artist, also doing hard news, then behind the scenes directing a segment on TV, and then doing business with a fashion brand and beauty. I love being active and being able to share that motivation with my audience.
It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
The book becoming of former first lady Michelle Obama at this moment is my source of motivation in my work, I love being able to read books about feminine empowerment and that inspire me to do my job better.
Of the applications that I use the most to work is Unfold for my brands in my social networks IG @stephycarrillotv.
