Conversations with Ceandra Dilley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ceandra Dilley

Hi Ceandra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a 20-year navy veteran, author, philanthropist, transformation coach and most of all a mother with 3 amazing boys. I discovered my passion of speaking and changing the lives of others, while serving in the United States Navy. I absolutely love helping people get clear about their fears and moving them forward to overcome their destructive mindsets and behaviors. That is what Inspire for Purpose is all about.

I always prayed to have a positive influence on those I speak to and coach, whether on stage or in a private meeting and that prayer was granted.  I sought out community involvement opportunities, to offer free services to those in need. Amid helping folk, I found that I love process improvement and organizational leadership. I get the greatest high by restructuring and simplifying businesses bottom line. I have a keen eye for seeing the issues at the root level and I give tangible and practical solutions to help the person and or organization improve and grow.

I created Inspire for Purpose, which is a people first organization. We believe much of the same things as your organization and have endeavored in having real people telling their stories, their way and in their time. You see we look to be transparent and vulnerable and this can take time, when people are healing and forgiving themselves and others. We aspire to inspire all mankind to embrace their potential and passions and turn them into realities. I still volunteer and advocate and take philanthropic measures to support my community and our world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have been met with many obstacles along the way but praise God I held fast to Matthew 6:33. This scripture is my foundation for business and life. As with any business we are all met with problems and some of mine were lip service, phony friends, sabotagers and lack of belief in myself at times. The mind is so powerful and whether you think you can or can’t you are right as it says in the bible, Proverbs 23:7. Sometimes it’s very difficult to get past self-defeating thoughts but we must realize we are only as strong as our thoughts.

Funding was another issue, as I am sure it is for all business owners. Nevertheless, I was determined to not give up or give in and decided to WIN! During my humanitarian mission in Cambodia, I sustained a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). This can prove most difficult at times, as it affects my ability to focus and communicate at times. This can seriously affect my bottom line, when it comes to my earnings. It used to upset me badly, but now I make light of it for sanity sake. Whenever, I have an episode as I call them, I just say to the person, “Don’t mind me it’s just my ‘sometimers’ acting up.” People tend to laugh and then I can make a better connection. My faith and my persistence are what carries me through and knowing that I was put on this earth to help my fellow man makes me the person who I am today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a serial entrepreneur with several businesses. Real estate investing, E-Commerce and Life coaching (Transformation Mindset Coach). The coaching is my passion out of all the businesses I have. As a transformation coach, I help people get through hard times. I move them past obstacles and into their desired futures. Getting them unstuck so they can move forward to explore new possibilities. Inspire for Purpose is truly a God send from above.  What sets me apart is that I am an influencer. My words don’t just sit in the ears of those I serve. My words inspire them to move into action, hence the reason I am called “The Actionist.”  I connect, equip, empower and execute the mission and vision. I show up, show out and follow up, keeping them on track and moving forward.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Honestly speaking, I don’t do happiness. I seek to attain JOY everlasting! Happiness is fleeting and I need something to sustain me through the most difficult times. How many times do we say or feel that if we just got that one thing it would make us happy? Only to find out that it did, but only for a while. I have learned over the years, that joy leaves you fulfilled not seeking the next best thing. Joy gives me peace within and this peace gives me joy everlasting and keeps me on the road to contentment. Discovering my purpose and walking in it brings me the greatest joy and it is a feeling like no other. It’s been truly been a pleasure to write for your organization and I do hope that my story helps others in the most positive and productive ways. As always love and light and inspire for purpose.
