Hi Alhtheah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory
The story of LayZ Natural started after I had my son. There were two main things that pushed me to start this business. The first thing was reality of how much your hair can change for the worse in terms of health postpartum. Whether it be from the drastic change in hormones after giving birth or from the lack of time with a newborn to really put forth the effort to take care of natural curly/ kinky hair. The second thing was me already being a “lazy natural”. I was already in the habit of being annoyed having to do a million and one things to make my hair feel, look and be healthy and moisturized. My products basically simplify the process so you can use less products for better, longer lasting results.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s usually never an easy street with no bumps, or dips. It is especially hard when I work a full-time job, and of course have a small child to also take care of. However, we all have to give up certain things to get where we want to be. It’s time consuming and sometimes it feels like I’ll never have a moment to myself but you make time.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
LayZ Natural is a hair care and skin care company for the typical lazy natural. It simplifies your hair care routine. Our products are made with natural and safe ingredients that you can recognize and pronounce. All of our products are vegan, sulfate free, Paraben free, and alcohol free!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
When you’re starting a new business, your customers sometimes come in waves. That doesn’t mean when you’re having a dry week you shouldn’t post or promote. In fact, if anything, that’s the time you grind harder.
