Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharie Tzul.
Hi Sharie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I have always had a passion for fashion since the age of 12. While attending the University of Miami, I ventured into entrepreneurship and decided once I was done with school that I would combine the two, fashion and entrepreneurship, and create TZUL, Global Fashion brand. It started off as a concept to brand my own style, which is luxury contemporary streetwear. I branch that vision to a unisex line that appeals to all. Nothing happens overnight. TZUL is here through faith, perseverance, and diligence. We continue to pave a new way every day.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all, but success is not linear. Some struggles have been not having enough funding, enough resources, or enough support. I use my struggles as everyday fuel and do not take no for an answer and never accept defeatism. Not everyone will share the same vision. Not everyone will put in the same effort as you, but you have to continue to lead and push to reach every single goal.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
TZUL, founded by Sharie Tzul. TZUL is a Fashion brand working to be a global household brand. I was able to create my ultimate vision, where I was able to pull inspiration from my Belizean roots but also my experiences living in Japan, New York, Chicago, the DMV area, and Miami to curate a brand that embodies what I and so many others represent which is evident in every design. TZUL’s goal is to take today’s idea of “living” to a whole new level: “Live To Be Known. What I am most proud of is preserving and elevating when it is so easy to “quit”. I believe my vision and unmatched work ethic sets me apart from others. I don’t request anything that I don’t do myself. Sometimes you have to roll up your sleeve and do it yourself. All items seen are owned and designed, created by me. I would say that I am known for my designs, attention to detail, and drive. At TZUL, we’re hiring talent, providing jobs, opportunities as we believe teamwork makes the dream work. I am excited every day and look forward to years to come to look back and see the growth and the impact we have had in individual lives.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
What may be surprising to people is that I did not start TZUL with a team. I was a jack of all trades. I was the manufacturer, web developer, coder, graphic designer, photographer, editor, marketer, and did shipment and fulfillment. Whatever it takes to run a successful business, I did it.
