Check Out DJ LEEOR’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ LEEOR.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in Israel. From an early age, I listened to all types of music, mostly house music. I spent some time in Europe in my early twenties and then came to Miami. I started playing in local clubs and building my name. I also played (and still) in many significant events that Miami is hosting, like Food and wine festival, Mercedes fashion show, MTV, Art Basel, WMC, Miami music week, and many more. At the last Superbowl in Miami, I was the DJ at the biggest event of the week: the NFLPA VIP Party. I also travel and play overseas (Cancun, Dominica Republic, Israel, and Hungary, to name a few). In 2008 I opened my company, L R Entertainment, to focus on weddings and private events. Initially, it was just a DJ company, but we grew organic, and today we are a full-service music and entertainment company specializing in weddings and private events. (One of the most respectful companies in South Florida). I’m DJing for many celebrities and DJs: Dwyane Wade, Chino and Nacho, Giuliana Rancic, and Roger Sanchez, to name a few. I also produce house music and am a resident DJ at Ibiza Stardust Radio. (Ibiza, Spain)

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Yes, of course, but there are no struggles in my world. Every day above ground is a good day and a gift. When you love what you do and realize that that’s your mission in this world (in my case, DJing and making people happy), there are no struggles. Only happiness. I always say: Be You. The world will adjust.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a Dj, my job is to give the guests/crowd the best night ever, and that’s what I specialize in (with any style of music). I look at myself as an artist and create an atmosphere through music on different occasions for different crowds. I take the guests/crowd on a journey and don’t just play songs. What I am most proud of, and what separates me from nonreal DJs, is my ability to read any crowd and understand and know almost any type of music.

When I say a nonreal DJ, I mean that today with all the technology, it is straightforward to buy a laptop and put the title “DJ” before your name, but this is not a real DJ. A real DJ is inside you, with a passion for music and sharing music with the world. It’s 24/7; it’s not for everyone.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I like Miami very much. I like the people, the vibe, the nightlife, the food, and the beaches. As a professional DJ, it’s paradise. I wouldn’t say I like the traffic:)
