Today we’d like to introduce you to Nora.
Nora, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Hello. I’m Nora, a 15-year-old aspiring artist. I make art as it is one of the few things I can concentrate on for a long period of time. I’ve always enjoyed drawing and crafty things ever since I was little and I still do to this day. I’ve taken art classes in the past but I really started taking art seriously when I created my Instagram account and began posting regularly. once I did that more and more people seemed to like what I was doing.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Most often I draw with colored pencils but I also work with paint and more. I really enjoy portraits and nature themed projects. I share my work online with the hopes that it can inspire someone. As I’m sure this is the case for many artists, my creations mean a great deal to me as I usually spend hours working on them and put lots of effort in order to bring my imagination or a picture to life.
The sterotype of a starving artist scares away many potentially talented artists from pursuing art – any advice or thoughts about how to deal with the financial concerns an aspiring artist might be concerned about?
As I’m a student I can’t afford to buy expensive art supplies but I’m working with what I have.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
The only social media site I share my art on is Instagram.
