Art & Life with Shaun Meyer, Urwin Rockwell, and Noah Goldberg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaun Meyer, Urwin Rockwell, and Noah Goldberg.

Shaun, Urwin, and Noah, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
We’ve all been playing, or at least affiliated, with music in one way or another for quite some time. Our guitarist (Shaun) and our bassist (Urwin) had been playing together long before we got this band started, so they already had experience working with each other. Our drummer (Noah) did his fair share of time playing in local South Florida acts over the years as well.

Individually we all have influences from different genres that came from how we grew up on music but when you break it down, we all have love for punk rock, rock n roll, and the blues. All those influences are what makes Sewerside Bombers the band that it is. When we realized we had a common love for all things loud, fast, heavy, and stylish, we knew we were going in the right direction.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
We play music that is bold, aggressive, and above all stylish. When we play our music, we play it good and look good while doing it, that was our number one goal from day 1 and it still continues to be. As a band, our aim is variety but with intensity, whether its playing punk rock n roll to a machine gun beat or crooning some dark and gloomy blues with practiced bravado.

We’ve never really had any input from ourselves on what we hope people will take away from us because at the end of the day people are going to like what they like regardless of what it is or where it comes from. We just want to be able to entertain ourselves push our skills to the next level and if we manage to entertain others along the way (or even inspire them), then that is a big win for us.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
Don’t get hung up on the same hometown venues, play out of town as much as you can. It’s always a bummer to see a really great act form only to see them spend their time frequenting the same local spots year after year when they could be making a name for themselves on the road.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
You can catch us (while also supporting us at the same time!) by attending any number of shows down here in South Florida that has us on the bill. We have music online as well via the typical music outlets (iTunes, YouTube, etc.) as well as our Bandcamp (posted below) but the best kind of support that we love to see is the one where you just come out to our shows and hang out with us. It’s great when we make some cash out of all of this, but making friends and fans through the music we play is more rewarding.
