Art & Life with Keeana Kee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Keeana Kee.

Keeana, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’m like the breeze. Moving around the world following my dreams. From a far away Latvia to the United States with an unstoppable wish to find myself to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.
When I first came to the United States, Miami Beach was my first point of destination. I guess it’s destiny and we are all moved by our hearts to something our souls want the most. Island sun, palm trees, and ocean vibes helped me discover my true passion for tropical music with Spanish influence that is so easily created within me. In 2017 I crossed paths with an incredibly talented producer Maffio who has produced and was featured in my debut single “Coconut Rum and Coke” which was followed by “You’re Real” and “Let’s Make Love.” I love sharing my stories through the songs I write, and I especially love seeing people falling in love with them as much as I do. I’m inspired to combining the energy of the moon and the sun creating music that talks.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I am a singer, and I like to characterize my style as Tropical Pop. I love writing songs with an island mood and Spanish influence. It happens automatically. Even if I try writing songs from my head without any instrumental track the melodies that come out always carry those islandish motives. I love writing and singing about love creating songs that can move and inspire. The vibes from my music will take your mind to hot Spanish beaches, passionate moves and chilled cocktails.

Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities, and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
I am an independent artist, and yes, it is extremely hard to support yourself on an artistic path. It’s an expensive career to choose, but it’s worth a try. If you weren’t the lucky one to be born in a wealthy family, you will have to work and work hard taking some side jobs and working part-time. The most important thing here is to learn how to balance it. It’s very easy to get carried away with work and not have enough time left for your artist career and even give up on it. Just focus! Focus on what’s most important for you and don’t let your mind fool you. Listen to your heart. Work to pay bills and work to invest in your dreams. Create a balance between it and don’t be afraid to take risks. It’s all worth it at the end of the day.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
I appreciate the support of all my fans. I love connecting with you all on social media sharing news and updates about my music and life. You can find me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Snapchat by my name @KeeanaKee. You can find my music and music videos on all your favorite music Platforms. Give me a follow and share your thoughts in comments.
