What’s the Best Advice You’ve Ever Received?

All of us are where we are today partly because of our own efforts and partly because of the advice, guidance, influence and inspiration provided by others.  At Voyage we have the good fortune of connecting with so many of the city’s hidden gems – from entrepreneurs and creatives to athletes, researchers and more.  We asked them a simple, but important question: what is the best advice, personal or professional, that you’ve ever received?

Fear & Faith both demand you to believe in something you cannot see. Your choice.

The best advice I’ve received can be used both personally and professionally. And that is to keep exercising your mind daily whether that be listening to a podcast or reading a self-help book of some sort. I find that when I start off my day doing this I’m able to get more accomplished and feel more successful overall. Praying and manifesting is another important part of my morning routine that helps me stay motivated and positive throughout the day.

The best advice that I had received is be yourself always, and be honest with your audience, because that is the most important thing to have a great career as blogger/influencer.

Woah! Such a tough one. I will go for “be you not them” being authentic is very important to me. Being myself, loving, taking care of myself and my space. Once those things are in place, everything else will fall into place just like a puzzle. To me being oneself is priceless, showing the unique colors and honesty one possesses.

One of the best advises I’ve ever received would be to trust the universe and God. If something is happening, or is not happening is because there is a greater reason, one we may not understand at first ❤

Aileen Sainz – Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Advocate & Youth Leader

While not everyone may agree, I believe the best advice and way of life is to live and lead with your head, heart, and hands. You must be educated enough in order to make your passion something everyone can benefit from. However, while you have more opportunity and privilege than others, you must get your hands dirty and help others rise. One is not more important than the other. Rather, they all go hand in hand for a balanced soulful life.
